How Recent Immigrants Feel About It

In two words: Ripped Off!

Honest immigrants (including our ancestors) all went though various hoops and requirements to become honest citizens of this country. Even most Mexican immigrants who went through the legal process feel it is unfair for others to cut in line and cheat their way in. The message Amnesty or whatever they want to call it-- "earned Citizenship" (by breaking the law) or whatnot-- tells everyone else who wants to become American that the best way to do it is just MOVE HERE ILLEGALLY. When we said in the 1980s that we were only going to give a generalAmnesty once, we lied. When we said we were going to get tough with employers who hired illegals last time, we ALSO lied. And we're probably lying this time if we say we're going to build a fence and never give away citizenship to illegals again. DON'T FALL FOR IT!

Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. We've tried the Amnesty and it only makes the problem WORSE. Congress: Learn from your mistakes and don't repeat them.
