F.A.Q.s (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q: Is it really scary?
A: YES, it is. Ask anyone who has been to the corporate haunts (like Universal) and also ours, and the vast majority will acknowledge we are scarier. Our biggest advantage is our giant size (about 40 minutes long compared to the 5 - 8 minute Orlando haunts) and the fact we don't push customers through in a continuous line. Small, intimate groups prevents them from knowing what to expect around the corner by seeing the reactions of other people ahead in the line... and we have hundreds of corners. We make less money breaking the line into smaller groups, but the customer satisfaction is worth it.
Q: Are you really the largest haunt around?
A: YES, we remain the largest continuous haunted house in North Florida. Since we are not broken up into separate haunts, that also means you don't have to pay more or wait in line again. More importantly, the tension continues to build as the terror won't stop until you finally escape... over 20,000 feet later. So be prepared to scream a long, LONG time.
Q: Are kids allowed?
A: YES (if they are brave enough), but because of the many frights, we urge Parental Guidance for anyone under 13. Read more.
Q: If I have epilepsy or Asthma, should I come?
A: NO. If strobe lights or fog machines cause you problems, we regret to say that you should NOT attend. Read more.
Q: If I'm pregnant or have a heart condition, should I come?
A: NO. It would be reckless to subject yourself to deliberate frights if you have either of those conditions. Please play it safe and avoid our haunt. Read more.
Q: What's your phone number?
A: It's (850) 513-9190. We're listed under "terror" in the business section of the phone book ('coz terror IS our business). We often too busy to answer it, but you can leave a message.
Q: Can I use my credit card to buy tickets?
A: Yes and no. You cannot use your credit card at the ticket booth (cash only), but you CAN use your credit card to buy your tickets online here.
Q: How do you determine the price?
A: Most haunts our size cost between $25-$30. Universal and Howl-o-Scream run $45 to $75, and their haunts last only 5 to 8 minutes each. We're bigger, scarier, closer AND cheaper. We also encourage patrons to come earlier in the season and use the "early bat coupons" to save even more.
Q: If I get to scared and exit early, can I get a refund?
A: No. Although many can't make it all the way through, it's our goal to scare them out early. (That's why we have 13 exits.) Would you expect a refund from a restaurant because they gave you more than you can take? Similarly, we can provide a doggie-type bag to take home any "leftovers". (In other words, a barf bag.)
Q: Why do VIPs get to skip the line?
A: In order to keep our regular ticket prices low for everyone else, we encourage those who can to pay a little and skip the line with VIP tickets.
Q: Are there any group discounts?
A: YES. We offer discounts for groups of ten or more if purchased in advance. Email us with your phone number, the size of your group and the night you want to attend, and we'll go from there. (Not available on Saturdays or Halloween.)
Q: Are video or photo cameras allowed?
A: NO, they are not. It is too dark to work well, and the flashes blind our monsters. Besides, customers drop and lose them and we can't stop to find them. So they are forbidden for everyone's sake.
Q: Is there free parking?
A: YES, we provide free on-site parking for the duration of your visit to our haunt. Our paved lot is next to our main entrance at Gaines and Woodward Ave, and we also have additional unpaved parking directly behind our building (the North side), running the full length of the property and beyond. Please avoid the tow-away parking at buildings further North and closer to FSU. (They have warning signs posted at their entrance.) They love to snag anyone they can get.
Q: There are fewer pages on your website. Did you delete the others?
A: No, but to simplify the navigation bar, we moved most of the photos, articles, and other archive links to the Misc section. We encourage you to explore it.
