From the Publisher of Monsterwax:
2007 raced by at record speed! We had fun releasing the Art of H.G. Wells (which featured War of the Worlds, The Time Machine and Island of Dr. Moreau). We also finished Frank Russo's fun series Monster Faces. Now we're turning our attention to Shock Stories, a series we're very excited about, as it revives shock and horror stories similar to the ones found in the old E.C. comics like Tales of The Crypt.
We also have other series in the works, including The Art of Jules Verne (featuring all original paintings from Ricardo Garijo), plus an upcoming monster gag series that also profiles a cult horror hit.
There's more in the pipeline, though we'll wait to tell you about it later since we tend to underestimate how long they actually take to complete! But stick around and you'll see. We'll let the other companies glut the market with TV /movie sets and reissues of the same old same old. We promise to stick to what we do best: Original series with new ideas and new directions, and VERY limited print runs!
We're still one of the smallest (and 4th oldest*) non-sports trading card companies... but when it comes to collecting, the LESS something is, the quicker it can appreciate in the future. (You'll see what we mean when the decades pass and the values reflect the true supply vs. demand of your cards.) With your support, we'll continue to create the type of sets you wished the big shots still made-- cards with quality, creativity, and substance (not gimmicks).
Happy 2008!
